Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025

 Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025

Introduction

Teacher’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to expressing gratitude and respect to our teachers, who guide us with knowledge, inspire us with values, and shape our lives in countless ways. As part of the Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025, I, Nikita Vala, a student of the Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, prepared a creative set of activities including a video presentation, an online quiz, and a TedEd lesson to honor this day in a meaningful way.

The Video Presentation

The celebration began with a specially prepared video, which can be viewed here:

 Watch the Video

The video highlights the importance of Teacher’s Day, explores the role of teachers in shaping society, and conveys heartfelt wishes. It was designed to spread positivity, respect, and joy among both students and teachers.

The Quiz Activity

To make the celebration more interactive, I created a short quiz based on the video. The quiz encourages viewers to recall key points and reflect on the significance of Teacher’s Day. After attempting it, participants also receive an e-certificate as a token of appreciation.

The TedEd Lesson

To add an educational touch, I also developed a TedEd lesson connected to the same theme. This lesson not only deepens our understanding of the importance of teachers but also provides space for reflection and learning beyond the celebration.

Department’s Role and Support

The Department of English, M.K. Bhavnagar University, always encourages creativity, critical thinking, and the use of technology in learning. This Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration was not only a way of paying respect to teachers but also an opportunity to apply digital tools in meaningful ways. The supportive environment of the department motivates students like me to combine academic learning with creative expression.

Reflection

This activity gave me an opportunity to celebrate Teacher’s Day virtually in an engaging way. By preparing the video, quiz, and TedEd lesson, I could combine creativity, knowledge, and interaction to honor the invaluable role of teachers. It was truly a learning experience for me as well, since it connected technology with tradition, making the celebration both memorable and impactful.

Conclusion

Teachers are not just educators they are guides, mentors, and lifelong inspirations. Through this virtual celebration, I aimed to show my heartfelt gratitude towards them. I sincerely thank everyone who took the time to watch the video, attempt the quiz, and go through the TedEd lesson. May we always remember to honor and appreciate our teachers, not just on Teacher’s Day, but every day.

✨ Happy Teacher’s Day 2025! ✨

MAHARAJA (2024)

FILM STUDIES WORKSHEET: MAHARAJA (2024) Introduction: In contemporary Tamil cinema, Maharaja (2024), directed by Nithilan Saminathan, stands out as a masterclass in editing and non-linear storytelling. The film invites viewers into a layered narrative where time folds and unfolds, revealing truths in fragments. This blog explores how editing techniques shape the narrative structure and emotional resonance of Maharaja, based on a film studies worksheet designed by Dr. Dilipsir Barad.  (Click Here)  Analysing Editing & Non-Linear Narrative   PART A: BEFORE WATCHING THE FILM   What is non-linear narration in cinema? Non-linear narration is a storytelling method where events are presented out of chronological sequence. Instead of moving directly from beginning to end, the narrative jumps between past, present, and future. This technique can enhance suspense, deepen character exploration, and reveal information strategically.   Example: In Maharaja (2024),...
